If I had to pick a favorite move, it would be the Ayesha. It’s more than just a move to me; it’s a symbol of triumph. After a car accident left me with a shoulder injury (prior to my pole journey), I wasn’t sure if it was even possible. But after years of hard work I finally accomplished the Ayesha and I’ve never let it go. It represents my refusal to let doubt win.
My absolute favorite part of teaching is witnessing that ‘aha’ moment when a student nails a move they’ve been working towards. There’s nothing like seeing their faces light up with pride and excitement! I also love helping people connect with their bodies and develop their unique style on the pole. Each class is a step forward, and it’s incredible to see how those small, incremental gains build into a powerful, confident dancer over time. It’s an honor to be a part of their journey and watch them grow!
